Most people assume that acne is a skin condition that only affects adolescents. However, if acne will not go away with over the counter products, then it may be best to seek the help of a dermatologist. There are various antibiotics that can treat adult acne and do so effectively. Also, there are medical procedures that can reduce acne scars. These procedures are quite expensive and may not be an option for many. But, as previously mentioned, acne scars may fade over time and this process can be expedited with the use of various adult acne products.
