Easy Kitchen Home Remedies for Acne
Acne is one of those skin problems that afflict both emotional and physical well-being. Over 40 million North Americans suffer from acne. Acne is not just limited to teenagers either; millions of adults also suffer from acne. There are various treatments you can find in the drugstore. But there are some problems with these:
1. They often are ineffective
2. You have to use them constantly
3. They irritate your skin
However, there are some great and effective natural acne home remedies that people are using to cure or at least reduce their acne outbreaks:
Garlic Acne Home Remedy: Cut up garlic clove and rub the raw end against any pimples you may have, twice a day. Garlic has some very powerful antimicrobial properties and by touching your pimples with garlic, you help to kill them.
Cucumbers have long been used as a treatment for aging, but not people are starting to use them to help reduce acne. Take a cucumber and toss it into the blender with a cup of goat (or cow) milk. Use the resulting mix as a poultice to apply to your skin twice a day. Wash off with cold water.
Lemon Juice Acne Home Remedy: Lemon juice is a very useful treatment for acne. The powerful citric acids kill the acne-causing bacteria and also help to bleach your skin, removing spots and blemishes. Squeeze a lemon into a container and wash your face twice a day with the juice. If possible, leave the juice on all night and wash off in the morning, then put some more on and wash off later in the afternoon.
Honey: Honey has some excellent antimicrobial properties we can make use of to get rid of your acne. Take two tablespoons of honey and rub onto your face before going to bed. Wash off with lukewarm water in the morning.
These are some of the more popular acne home remedy treatments. As to which one is the best acne treatment, you will have to experiment for yourself. Many people have found great success with these pimple treatments.
